New set of officials from 7 new barangays of the City of San Pedro attended the “Orientation on Duties & Functions for Barangay Officials of the Newly Created Barangays” on July 11, 2018 at Pavillon Hall of San Pedro City Hall.
The topics pertain to Barangay Governance and Functions, Budgeting System, Accounting and Accountabilities and Procurement; and the Synthesis and Planning of identified programs and projects that the barangay officials will implement.
The activity was pursued in collaboration with DILG San Pedro with the pool of speakers/department heads namely Accounting OIC Napoleon Islan, City Budget Office head Lourdes Remolacio, BPLO head Elsa Santos and City Treasurer’s Office head Enelyn Abaigar, who shared that the said orientation will help empower and orient the barangay officials on good governance and on setting their targets and plans to be accomplished within their 2-year term of office.
