In the ongoing battle against pollution, the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) provided the City Hall of San Pedro with waste segregation bins. This is also in compliance with Republic Act 9003, also known as the “Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000”. The segregation waste bins can also be found in other government establishments as well as in San Pedro Town Center.
The CENRO is holding a clean-up drive on January 23, 2016 to practice the 3 R’s: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. CENRO Head Marilou Q. Balba is encouraging citizens of San Pedro to participate in this activity.
CENRO Environmental Officers will be checking on business establishments as well as the different offices of City Hall to check if they are in compliance.
