According to the DILG Memorandum Circular 2012-113, the Citizen Satisfaction Index System (CSIS) shall be implemented from 2013 until 2016. Relevant to this, the Department of The Interior and Local Government commissioned The Malayan Colleges of Laguna as one of the resource institutions to implement the CSIS through a survey conducted among 150 respondents randomly selected from different barangays.
The CSIS employs market research industry standards in conducting surveys using multi-stage probability sampling. The CSIS aims to capture a cross section of the population in every target local government unit.
Citizen satisfaction is based on the awareness, availment, satisfaction and perceived importance of specific local government processes in the following service areas:
– Health Services
– Support to Basic Education
– Social Welfare Services
– Public works and infrastructure
– Governance and Response
– Environmental Management
– Agricultural Services
– Tourism promotion
In the launching, which was held last November 18, 2015, no less than Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz was present, among City and DILG to receive the results of the survey, which according to the Mayor will be used for future policy and action formulation.
