The City Health Office through the coordination of CHO Head Dr. Robert R. Olivarez and Administrative Officer IV and Head of Nursing Services Riah R. Fojas with the University Research Company (URC), a company sponsored by United States Agency for International Development (USAID), conducted the Come A.L.I.V.E. (Ask, Listen, Inform, Verify, Encourage) Mentoring Program for Barangay Health Workers (BHW) on the TB Platform for Sustainable Detection, Care and Treatment at the Atrium Hall of the City of San Pedro, June 27-28.
Mr. Mario C. Articona, Ms. Joerette Clauden D. Cam and Ms. Sharon Dela Pena, all from URC – TB Platform acted as resource persons in this training that aims in reducing the prevalence of tuberculosis and bolstering local health units in the community in consonance with Mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz’ health initiatives.
This was attended by fifty-six (56) Barangay Health Workers (BHW).
