All is set for the opening of the San Pedro City Polytechnic College (SPCPC) for school year 2017-2018.
City Mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz swore into office the SPCPC Board of Trustees and executive officers on August 23, 2017 at Acacia Hotel in Alabang, Muntinlupa City in simple induction ceremonies that was immediately followed by the first Board of Trustees meeting. “Today we formally roll out a project that fulfills our commitment to provide easy access to affordable quality college education to young citizens of our city”, said Mayor Cataquiz.
This project was initially pursued by then Mayor Calixto R. Cataquiz under his strategic program San Pedro Roadmap 2020. It now finds realization under Mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz Administration.
The SPCPC initially offers bachelor courses in Information Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Business Management major in Human Resource Development and Management.
The Board of Trustees is composed of Hon. Jamie R. Ambayec, Dr. Samuel M. Salvador, Dr. Mercedes A. Oliver, Mr. Eduardo Sarmiento and Atty. Don Angelo S. Luna. The school officials include Engr. Filemon I. Sibulo (Director of General Services and Administration), Ms. Maribeth F. Salazar (Director of Student Services), Ms. Lourdes L. Remolacio (College Budget Officer), Ms. Enelyn DS. Abaigar (College Treasurer) and Mr. Napoleon V. Islan (College Accountant).
