City Mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz attended the Inauguration and Blessing of San Pedro Apostol Parish Church’s newly built parish office, parish hall and convent last January 7, 2017.
Most Reverend Buenaventura Famadico officiated the Thanksgiving Mass and blessing of the Parish Office, Parish Hall and Convent which was concelebrated by Rev. Msgr. Alex Amante, Rev. Fr. Pablo T. Bugay Jr., Rev. Fr. Christopher Baldemor and Rev. Fr. Christian Cletus Nalda.
Also present and led the ribbon-cutting with city mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz were, Congresswoman Arlene Arcillas and Dr. Mercedes Oliver. Other attendees were, vice mayor Iryne Vierneza, city councilors Lon-Lon Ambayec, Bernadeth Olivares, Jimbo Ambayec, Bobot Berroya, barangay Nueva at Poblacion Chairmen, Abet Alon-Alon & Abet Aquino, Executive Assistant Aaron Cataquiz, City Budget Officer, Lourdes Remolacio, City Social Welfare and Development Head, Fatima Autor, Diwa Tayao, and SPTI Administrator Dominador Marmeto.
Father Paul T. Bugay initiated the construction of the three parish facilities. Thru his efforts and the contributions received from the parishioners and sponsors, the newly built parish office, hall and convent was made possible to further enrich spiritual services given to local parishioners.
According to city mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz, the San Pedro Apostol Parish plays a huge part to every catholic San Pedronians of the city. “San Pedro Apostol Parish Church is a sanctuary to talk to God, that is why I congratulate each and everyone who participated and made exertions in making this memorable event possible.” She added.
