Six (6) regional officers of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) evaluated the City of San Pedro last Thursday (April 28, 2016) for the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG). The evaluation was a culmination of the meeting that was convened by DILG San Pedro Officer Maria Aurora Robles and City Administrator Filemon Sibulo last April 11, 2016.
The different department heads were tasked to prepare documents to present to the regional officers to see if they are complying with the criteria of the SGLG. The frontline government services were evaluated as well as the environment and disaster preparedness of the City of San Pedro.
The SGLG is a seal conferred to LGU’s that adhere to performance criteria on any of the following areas: good financial housekeeping, disaster preparedness, social protection for the basic sector, business-friendliness and competitiveness, environmental management, and law and order and public safety.
