The night of December 22, 2015 was the night to PARTEEHH!! Following the theme of the popular primetime TV show “Your Face Sounds Familiar” , representatives from various departments did their best in impersonating Miley Cyrus, Stevie Wonder, the Kalyeserye cast and other celebrities as they vie for the top prize. Appliances and other gift items were raffled off in between song and dance numbers. The party was attended by the Governor of the Province of Laguna, Ramil Hernandez and Mayor Calix Cataquiz. “Stevie Wonder” in the person of Architect Ernesto Remolacio drew out the hooting from the audience as they warmed up to one of his popular songs, “I Just Called To Say I Love You”. The Achitect’s Office was Second Placer.
SPTI gave the opening Filipino Christmas Carol and midway through, as part of competition, showcased sophisticated ” Whitney Houston” pieces landing them into First Place.
City Administrator Fil Sibulo spoke in behalf of Mayor Lourdes Cataquiz, relaying that the Mayor wanted everyone to be filled, contented and happy during this celebration. On the meaningful side, Admin. Fil addressed everyone that even in the midst of problems, one can truly celebrate for God consoles us and does not forsake us.
CSWD Officer Fatima Autor, pairing with councilor- hopeful Edgardo “Bobot” Berroya expressed the fact that the Administrator did his best to provide for the raffle prizes which turned out to be a bonanza.
Former Mayor Calixto Cataquiz came in with his inputs of prizes and words of advise to the crowd alluding to commitments. Other members of the BOOM HALAL also came with their greetings especially Vice-Mayor hopeful Diwa Tayao.
Much credit and thanksgiving go to all the generous donors like Gov Ramil Hernandez, among others, who cheerfully greeted everyone a Merry Christmas.
The venue was spruced up to look like a mini-ballroom of a hotel dominated by an electronic screen with running Christmas- themed visuals, Booming sounds galore were splitting into the air and pounding beats on the ears and the hearts. What could be merrier?
