A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the San Pedro Linear Park Project was signed between the City of San Pedro and the Rotary Club of San Pedro South last December 11, 2015 at the Pacita 1 Complex Elementary School.
City Mayor Lourdes S. Cataquiz cited the San Pedro Urban Renewal (SPUR) program which is the reason for the MOU. The SPUR Program aims to make San Pedro a livable community – a place to work and invest in. Both parties are to cooperate in the creation of the San Pedro Linear Park, including the contribution of trees and park benches for the beautification of the park and the City of San Pedro.
Also present at the signing were Rotary International District Governor Jose “Pepe” Estevez, Jr.with spouse Lady Beth, past district governors Mike Lirio, Rey Castillo, Tato Dimayuga, Dennis Sunio with Lady Angie, Rose celis, world class presidents, Lita Grey, Poly Macatangay, Gina Sy, Nigel Graham, Jane Garcia, Efren Bongais, Marissa Gonzales, past presidents, Jun Mendoza, Boy Garcia, Resty Ramos, Yolly Montifar, Rey Bongao, Fe Aquinde, assistant governor Mark Acierto, Rotary Club of San Pedro South, Daughters of Mary Immaculate, Inner Wheel Club of Ortigas Central, and Global City Pacita Complex 1 Elementary School principal Allan Cantallejo, and feeding coordinator Ms. Vilma Angud.
